LUNG KONG PHYSICAL CULTURE CLUB WAS ESTABLISHED June 22, 1958 by Poo Lau and Hee Chu. Its mission is to perpetuate Chinese martial arts and Chinese culture for youths in the community.
The club is sponsored by Lung Kong Kung Shaw Association of Hawaii—a benevolent, non-profit Chinese society acknowledged world-wide. The history can be found in three volumes entitled Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
The team was initially comprised of members bearing surnames of the four sworn brothers—Lau (Liu), Quon (Guan), Chong (Zhang), and Chu (Zhao). Membership is now extended to all who wish to learn martial arts, Chinese lion dance, culture, and the history of Lung Kong’s forefathers.
